Kathmandu Metropolitan City Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol has congratulated former Chief Justice Sushila Karki on becoming Nepal’s first female Prime Minister and wished her a successful tenure.
In a message shared on social media, Dangol called Karki’s appointment a historic and proud achievement in Nepal’s political history. She described it as a rare opportunity to build a foundation of justice, equality, and good governance.
Dangol emphasized that this moment is not only a source of pride but also a golden opportunity to fulfill the aspirations of the people, including the youth of the Gen-Z movement.
She expressed strong confidence in Prime Minister Karki, highlighting that she carries the hopes of all Nepali women. Dangol said Karki is expected to lead the country with dialogue, unity, and good governance, respecting the sacrifices of those who died during the Gen-Z movement.
Finally, Dangol paid tribute to the martyrs of the Gen-Z protests and urged everyone to remain committed to democratic values and principles.
