Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party, has stated that Nepal’s socialism will be based on a community-centered model.
During a door-to-door election campaign on Sunday in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality–1, Maikot, he said that while Nepal can study and learn from the models of China and Vietnam, its socialism will be uniquely rooted in Nepali communities.
He described Rukum East as fertile ground for socialism and said the region could serve as the foundation for building “community-based socialism in Nepal.” “We have studied the models of China and Vietnam, but Nepal’s socialism will be an indigenous model based on Nepali communities,” he said.
During his address, he also mentioned that recently there have been views from the Gen Z generation suggesting that he should be made Prime Minister to provide proper leadership and address the demands raised through movements.
He said, “Some key Gen Z leaders have said it would have been better if Prachanda had been made Prime Minister. That does not mean I am seeking to become Prime Minister; it means we must understand the aspirations of the country and its people.”
