Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to return home today (Friday) after spending a week in Spain. During his visit, he took part in the United Nations’ Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development held in Seville, which was the first of its kind in a decade. The conference brought together leaders from around the world to discuss ways to boost global development through financial support and cooperation.

After finishing his engagements in Seville and Madrid, Prime Minister Oli left Spain last night, flying from Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez Barajas Airport to Doha, Qatar. Before his departure, Nepali Ambassador to Spain, Shanil Nepal, and other officials warmly saw him off at the airport.

He initially traveled to Spain on June 28 (Asar 14), leading Nepal’s delegation to the important UN conference. Throughout the trip, Prime Minister Oli actively participated in discussions, sharing Nepal’s views on development and finance, highlighting the country’s commitment to global progress.

He is expected to arrive back in Kathmandu this afternoon. Officials are preparing to welcome him after what many see as a successful and meaningful trip for Nepal on the international stage.
