Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the official foreign exchange rates for today (Friday), showing that the value of several major international currencies has gone down. These include the US dollar, euro, British pound, Australian dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar.
Today, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 136.20, and the selling rate is NPR 136.80. This is a drop from yesterday’s rates, which were NPR 136.83 for buying and NPR 137.43 for selling. The euro is also slightly down, with today’s buying rate at NPR 160.63 and selling rate at NPR 161.34, compared to yesterday’s NPR 160.95 and NPR 161.66.
The British pound has decreased as well. It is being bought at NPR 186.04 and sold at NPR 186.86, down from NPR 187.53 and NPR 188.35 yesterday. The Australian dollar is being bought at NPR 89.61 and sold at NPR 90.00, which is lower than yesterday’s buying rate of NPR 89.84 and selling rate of NPR 90.24.
The Kuwaiti dinar has dropped too, with today’s buying rate at NPR 446.34 and selling rate at NPR 448.30. Yesterday, it was NPR 448.31 and NPR 450.28 respectively. The Bahraini dinar is now trading at NPR 361.30 for buying and NPR 362.89 for selling, which is down from yesterday’s NPR 362.96 and NPR 364.57.
