Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has invited Malaysian investors to invest more in Nepal’s physical infrastructure and tourism sectors.
Speaking to a delegation from the Malaysia-Nepal Business Council currently visiting Nepal, Minister Paudel said that Nepal has great potential in infrastructure development and tourism. He urged the investors to explore these opportunities.
“There is a good environment for private sector investment in Nepal. Our policies are investment-friendly. Identify the sectors and move forward with proper planning. The government is ready to support and facilitate,” said Minister Paudel.
The delegation members showed interest in investing in areas such as information technology, trade, hydropower, infrastructure, environment, and tourism.
The delegation included Malaysia-Nepal Business Council Chairman Pradeep Kumar Kukreja, Dr. Chai Kee Khan, Ganesh Kumar Bangah, MK Sangrah, and others.
