President Ram Chandra Paudel Performs Basant Shravan

On the occasion of Shree Panchami (Basant Panchami) this year, President Ram Chandra Paudel performed Basant Shravan on Friday morning at a special ceremony held at Nasal Chowk, Hanumandhoka Durbar.

During the ceremony, the chief priest of Hanumandhoka care unit offered the president abhishek, tika, garland, and flower offerings. President Paudel also performed worship of Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, while a contingent of the Nepali Army presented a salute in his honor.

The event was attended by First Lady Savita Paudel, Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, National Assembly Chairman Narayan Dahal, ministers, heads of constitutional bodies, and other distinguished guests.

It is a traditional practice to worship Goddess Saraswati on Basant Panchami, and performing Basant Shravan on this day is believed to bring happiness, peace, and prosperity.
