Pokhara Thunders, the runner-up in the recently concluded Nepal Super League (NSL), are set to compete with teams from the Indian Super League (ISL). The team announced that they will play friendly matches against two ISL teams, and the names of the teams will be revealed shortly. This is an exciting opportunity for Pokhara Thunders, as they get a chance to test their skills against top teams from one of the most competitive football leagues in Asia.

In the NSL final, held at Dasharath Stadium last Saturday, Pokhara Thunders was defeated by Lalitpur City FC, who claimed the title. Despite the loss, Pokhara Thunders’ strong performance throughout the tournament earned them a well-deserved place as the runner-up.

On Tuesday, Pokhara Metropolitan City honored the team for their achievement. Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, along with other local officials, participated in the ceremony, recognizing the team’s efforts and contribution to sports in the city. The team was praised for its dedication and sportsmanship.

Mayor Acharya also promised that for the next season, Pokhara Thunders will receive full support for their preparations, including the use of Pokhara Stadium for training.
