PM Karki Vows to create a fair environment and hand over power to the next government

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has emphasized the need for collective support and participation to ensure the success of the upcoming national elections scheduled for March 5.
During a discussion held at her official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday with editors from various media outlets, Prime Minister Karki spoke about the current political situation, the government’s election preparations, and its ongoing activities.
According to her secretariat, Karki said the government is doing its utmost to create a conducive environment for the polls and that conditions across the country are gradually becoming more favorable. She noted that continuous dialogue among political parties and stakeholders is helping build trust, which is essential for holding peaceful and credible elections.
Prime Minister Karki reiterated that the government’s main goal is to uphold good governance and conduct the elections on time. She assured that her administration will encourage, not exclude, political parties to participate in the democratic process.
Acknowledging the challenges her government faced upon taking office, Karki expressed her resolve to fulfill her duties responsibly and with integrity, saying she remains unfazed by criticism and committed to handing over power to the next elected government after the polls.
