Partly Cloudy Weather with Chance of Light Rain and Snowfall

The Weather Forecast Division says the country is under the influence of local winds and a weak western low-pressure system.

Because of this, the weather is partly cloudy in many areas. The hills and mountains have some clouds, while the Terai is mostly clear.

Today, the Himalayan region will be mostly cloudy, the hilly areas partly cloudy, and the plains mostly clear. There may be light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in a few places of the hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi Province, and in the Himalayan areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the Himalayan region will remain partly cloudy, while the hilly and Terai regions will be mostly cloudy. There is also a chance of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has advised people and transport operators to be careful in areas where rain or snowfall may occur.
