Partial Impact of Westerly System Brings Cloudy Skies, Light Rain and Snow in Hilly Regions

Currently, Nepal is under the partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere.

At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province are generally cloudy. The remaining hilly and mountainous areas of the country are partly cloudy, while the Terai region is mainly clear.

This afternoon, some places in the Terai may experience morning mist. The mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province, along with other mountainous areas, will remain generally cloudy. The remaining hilly areas will be partly cloudy, and the Terai region will remain mainly clear.

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as at one or two places in the mountainous regions of other provinces. Similarly, one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may experience light rain with thunder and lightning.

Tonight, light fog is likely at a few places in the Terai region. The mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy. The hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, along with other mountainous areas, will be partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will remain mainly clear. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
