Opposition Bench in No Mood to Relent Till Home Minister Quits

Right after the start of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, lawmakers representing the opposition parties stood in protest, reiterating their demand for the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. 

Speaker Devraj Ghimire repeatedly requested them to take their respective seats, promising each of them time to speak on the basis of their parties’ strengths in the parliament. 

But the speaker’s assurance has had no effect on the opposition lawmakers, who have been demanding Minister Lekhak’s resignation, relentlessly.
