One Dead, One Injured in Motorcycle-Tanker Crash Near Pepsicola

A 25-year-old man died and another was hurt after a motorcycle and a water tanker crashed near Pepsicola in Kathmandu last night.

According to Kathmandu Police, the man who died was Nawaraj Tumsing, 25, from Roshi Rural Municipality-3 in Kavre district.

The accident happened in Chhapro, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32. A water tanker (license plate Ba. 1 Kha 3287) was going from Jadibuti to Pepsicola when it hit a motorcycle (Ba. 2 Pa 2548) coming from the opposite direction.

Tumsing was sitting on the back of the motorcycle. He was badly injured and died later while getting treatment at KMC Hospital.

The person driving the motorcycle, 26-year-old Santosh Magar, also from Roshi-3, Kavre, was injured but is now out of danger, police said.

The water tanker driver, 47-year-old Ram Bahadur Thapa from Dhading, has been taken into custody by the Koteshwor Police for investigation.
