The Central Committee meeting of the CPN-UML has started at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. It began around 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The meeting was originally scheduled for 9 a.m., but it started about two hours late after Chair Oli arrived. Before the closed session, Oli plans to propose changes to the party’s leadership. He wants to increase the number of office bearers from 15 to 19 by adding two vice-chairs and two secretaries.
Oli also plans to suggest increasing the Central Committee members from 251 to 301.
