The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 7.86 points on Wednesday and closed at 2,606.20.
During the day, shares worth Rs 3.73 billion were traded.Because of the small fall in the index, most listed companies 169 in total saw their share prices go down. Meanwhile, 80 companies had an increase in their prices, and 9 companies saw no change.
On Wednesday, investors who sold shares of Swastik Laghubitta Financial Institution made the most profit. In contrast, those who sold shares of Jhapa Energy Limited faced the biggest loss.
All sector indices ended lower except for the mutual fund group, which was the only one that stayed positive.
