NEPSE Inches Up as Most Sectors Gain

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index went up slightly on Monday. It increased by 6.74 points, and the total value of shares traded during the day was Rs 3.44 billion.

Out of all the companies that were traded, the share prices of 155 companies went up. On the other hand, 94 companies saw their share prices fall, while the prices of 10 companies did not change.

Even though the main index rose only a little, most sector indices ended the day with gains. However, the hotels and tourism, investment, microfinance, mutual funds, and the “others” group recorded losses. All other sectors closed the day higher.
