The Nepse index dropped on the first day of the week, reflecting a downturn in the market.

The first day of the week has seen a decline in the stock market. The Nepse index dropped by 10.41 points, reaching 2,643.93 today.
Today, except for the groups like development banks, hydropower, microfinance, mutual funds, and others, the stocks of almost all other groups decreased. The finance group saw a 4.76% decline.
Stocks of Bottlers Nepal (Balaju), NIC Asia Debenture 2082/83, Dolti Power Company, and Janaki Finance Company all dropped by 10%. However, despite the overall market decline, stocks of Upkar Laghubitta and Upper Mailun Khola Hydropower Company increased by 10%.
Although the Nepse index fell today, the trading volume actually increased. On the previous trading day (Thursday), shares worth 7.85 billion rupees were traded, whereas today, 15.7 million shares from 318 companies were traded for a total of 9.12 billion rupees.
