The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 10.25 points on Sunday and closed at 2,698.44.
According to NEPSE, a total of 26,236,204 shares of 330 companies were traded through 111,978 transactions. The total turnover reached Rs 11.65 billion.
Among the sector indices, only two groups showed a rise. The investment group increased by 0.08 percent, while the others group rose by 0.46 percent. All other sectors ended in loss.
The banking sector fell by 0.14 percent, development banks by 0.92 percent, finance by 0.01 percent, hotels and tourism by 2.13 percent, hydropower by 0.31 percent, life insurance by 0.71 percent, and manufacturing and processing by 1.15 percent.
Similarly, microfinance dropped by 0.21 percent, mutual funds by 0.61 percent, non-life insurance by 0.32 percent, and trading by 1.30 percent.
During the trading session, Super Mai Hydropower Limited reached the positive circuit. On the other hand, Kalinchowk Darshan Limited was the biggest loser, as its share price fell by 8.91 percent.
In terms of turnover, Super Mardi Hydropower Limited had the highest transaction value, with shares worth Rs 560.3 million traded.
Based on the number of shares traded, Ridi Power Company Limited led the market with 1,658,725 shares traded.
