The Nepali Congress (NC) is set to release its manifesto for the 2026 House of Representatives (HoR) election today. The manifesto will present the party’s main plans and promises for the upcoming election.

Party spokesperson and Central Publicity Committee Coordinator Devraj Chalise said the manifesto, which the party is calling a “pledge,” will be made public through a press conference at the party’s central office in Sanepa at 2 pm.

According to party sources, the pledge will focus on major national issues such as economic recovery, job creation, good governance, social justice, and strengthening democratic institutions. It is also expected to include the party’s plans for effective implementation of federalism, infrastructure development, and encouraging youth participation.

The manifesto announcement comes as political parties are increasing their campaign activities ahead of the HoR elections. The Nepali Congress, one of Nepal’s oldest democratic parties, is expected to use this pledge to strengthen support from voters and present its clear plan for the next parliamentary term.
