Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4°C early Sunday morning, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The temperature was measured at 5:45 am. At the same time on Saturday, the minimum temperature was 9.2°C, and it later dropped slightly to 8.9°C during the official reading taken at 8:45 am.

The Division records the official minimum temperature every day at 8:45 am, and today’s final figure may fall a little compared to the early morning reading.

The minimum temperature means the lowest temperature recorded within 24 hours, while the maximum temperature means the highest temperature recorded during the same period.

The Division measures minimum and maximum temperatures daily from different weather stations across the country, including Kathmandu. The minimum temperature is officially recorded at 8:45 am, and the maximum temperature at 5:45 pm.
