Nepal will face West Indies today in their third group-stage match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The game starts at 11:15 am at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Nepal have lost their first two matches and must win to stay in the tournament. West Indies, on the other hand, have won both of their games and are close to reaching the Super 8 stage.
If West Indies win, they will secure a spot in the Super 8. If Nepal lose, they will be eliminated even though one group match remains. Even if Nepal wins their last two games, their chances of qualifying will still depend on other results.
Before the match, Nepal head coach Stuart Law said, “West Indies are a very strong team, and we need to play really well. We must focus on winning the next two matches, or our tournament will be over.”
He also mentioned that Nepal’s performances in the first two games were inconsistent and stressed that the team needs to improve. Additionally, he reminded players to be careful with social media, saying the team is taking this matter seriously.
