Nepalese Prime Minister Sushila Karki Extends Maghi Festival Greetings

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has extended her heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Maghi, also celebrated as Makar Sankranti or Maghe Sakranti, urging all Nepalis to embrace unity, harmony, and mutual trust.

In a message shared on her official Facebook page, PM Karki expressed hope that the festival inspires everyone to work together for peace, stability, and prosperity. She emphasized that while the festival is known by different names across regions, its core message of love, tolerance, and collective harmony remains the same.

“Maghi signifies togetherness and the spirit of unity,” she noted, conveying her best wishes to Nepali sisters and brothers both within the country and abroad.
