Nepali Congress forms committees to revise manifesto, update proportional list, and manage elections.

Nepali Congress, led by newly elected President Gagan Kumar Thapa from the special convention, has formed a committee under his leadership to prepare the party’s manifesto.
The decision was made during the Central Working Committee meeting held on Thursday at a hotel in Lalitpur. After the meeting, party spokesperson Devaraj Chalise informed journalists that a manifesto preparation committee would be formed under the party president’s chairmanship. The meeting also decided to actively mobilize party cadres nationwide for the upcoming elections and form an Election Management Committee, chaired by Vice President Bishwprakash Sharma.
Additionally, the meeting approved updating and revising the proportional representation list and periodic collection of signatures for candidate registration. Chalise said, “Following the path shown by the party’s founding leaders and honoring the sacrifices of martyrs, we are building a renewed Congress capable of effectively contesting elections. Decisions include forming the manifesto committee, activating nationwide party cadres, creating the Election Management Committee under Vice President Sharma, updating past records, and revising proportional lists and signatures for nominations.”
The meeting also expressed gratitude to party workers who participated in the special convention. – News Agency Nepal
