Nepal Women’s Football Team Slips to 100th in Latest FIFA Rankings

The FIFA ranking of the Nepali national women's football team has dropped by one position. According to the latest rankings published by FIFA on Thursday, Nepal, which was previously ranked 99th, has now slipped to 100th place.

 

In 2025, Nepal played only one friendly match, which was against Thailand, and lost the game 2-0. On the other hand, Thailand, which defeated Nepal, has improved its position by one spot and is now ranked 46th. Thailand played three matches this year.

 

India has also dropped one position and now stands at 70th in the ranking. Jordan is at 75th. Bangladesh, however, showed progress by climbing five spots and now holds the 128th position.

 

Among other teams, Egypt made the biggest jump, climbing seven positions to reach 93rd place. Meanwhile, the UAE dropped five positions and now ranks 117th. Brazil improved by four spots and is now ranked fourth. The top three teams in the women's FIFA rankings are the USA in first place, Spain in second, and Germany in third.
