Nepal Women’s Football Team Slips in FIFA Rankings After Recent Defeats

Nepal’s women’s football team has dropped to 100th place in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings. They were in 99th place before but lost 0.12 points, which made them fall one position. In Asia, Nepal is now in 20th place.

Earlier this year, Nepal had climbed up four spots after playing well in a four-nation tournament held at home. They won against Lebanon and Kyrgyzstan, drew one match with Myanmar, and lost the final to Myanmar.

But recently, Nepal lost two friendly matches against Thailand, which likely caused the drop in their ranking.

In the world rankings, the USA is still number one, followed by Spain and Germany. Brazil is now in fourth place, and England has gone down to fifth. Among Asian teams, Japan is now seventh in the world after falling two places.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s men’s football team is currently ranked 175th in the world.
