Nepal will play against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday in the Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier in Thailand.
This is Nepal’s first match in the Super 3 stage. If Nepal win, they will reach the global qualifiers for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. If they lose, they will be out of the tournament.
Thailand, the host nation, has already made it to the global qualifiers.
On Sunday, Thailand beat UAE by 45 runs. Nepal, Thailand and the UAE reached the Super 3 stage by winning their groups — Group C, A and B.
In the Super 3, each team will play two matches—one against each of the others. Nepal will play their second match against Thailand on Tuesday.
The top two teams from this round will move on to the global qualifiers.
Ten teams will take part in the global qualifiers. So far, Bangladesh, Scotland and the United States have qualified. The rest will be decided soon from other regions like Asia, Europe, Africa and the East Asia Pacific.
