Nepal’s U-19 cricket team has made a strong start in the final of the ACC U-19 Men’s East Zone Cup 2025, putting Singapore under pressure during the powerplay.

 

Playing at the YSD UKM Oval in Bangi, Malaysia, Singapore chose to bat first after winning the toss. By the end of 10 overs, they had scored 46 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.

 

Singapore’s captain Riyan Nayak scored 15 runs before being caught out, while other batters, Swarit Thakur (5), Pranand Meduri (2), and opener Ahaan Bhutadam (0) fell cheaply. At the crease, Rohan Arun and Aarav Agarwal are both unbeaten on 4 runs each.

 

For Nepal, Abhay Yadav took 2 wickets and Bipin Prasad Sharma claimed 1.

 

Nepal, the only unbeaten team in the tournament, is aiming to defeat Singapore once again and secure the title. In the group stage, Nepal had beaten Singapore by 6 wickets.
