Nepal’s U-16 cricket team continued their winning streak at the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cup with an impressive nine-wicket victory over Japan on Tuesday.

Chasing a modest target of 81 runs, the young Nepali side made it look easy, wrapping up the match in just 14.2 overs while losing only one wicket along the way. The win was powered by a solid unbeaten 76-run partnership between opener Prasiddha Jaisi and wicketkeeper-batsman Shiwansh Bajgain.

Jaisi played a composed knock of 33 runs off 37 balls, including three boundaries, while Bajgain remained unbeaten on 38 runs from 42 deliveries, hitting seven crisp fours. The only batter to miss out was opener Joy Thapa, who fell early for just 1 run.

With this win, Nepal has now registered two victories in a row, further strengthening their position in the tournament.
