Nepal to Experience Rain Today, Heavier Showers Expected Tonight

The Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology says there will be scattered rain across Nepal today, with heavier rain expected at night than in the afternoon.

This afternoon, many hilly areas like Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces will get light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning. Some other parts of the country will also see rain.

Heavy rain might happen in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Some high hills and mountains could get light to moderate rain or snow.

Tonight, the rain will get stronger. Many parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces will have light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning. Other areas may also see rain.

Heavy to very heavy rain could fall in one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Some high hills and mountains might get light to moderate rain or snow.
