Ukraine has warned that Russian attacks could increase after the United States paused some of its military support. According to the BBC, Ukraine believes Russia will take advantage of the situation to continue and even expand the war.

The Russia-Ukraine war is now in its fourth year. On Tuesday, the White House confirmed that some U.S. weapons deliveries to Ukraine had been stopped. White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said the decision was made after a review by the Defense Department to ensure U.S. interests are protected and military aid to other countries is balanced.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his government is reviewing all details related to the paused supplies. Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry also warned that any delay in weapons supply would only encourage the attackers to continue war and terror instead of seeking peace.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the U.S. has provided Ukraine with billions of dollars in military aid. However, recently, some officials in the Trump administration have expressed concerns that America’s own military stockpiles are getting weaker. The paused weapons reportedly include air defense missiles and short-range weapons.
