Once again, Nepal has lost its fourth match in the ongoing women's T20 series. Today, Nepal was defeated by Thailand by 5 runs. Thailand set a target of 107 runs for Nepal, but sadly, Nepal could only score 101 runs.
This match marked Thailand's fourth consecutive win, while for Nepal, it was their fourth consecutive loss. In Team Nepal, Kavita Joshi was the highest scorer with 24 runs, though it was not enough to beat Thailand. For Thailand, Thipathcha Puthavong took 4 wickets for just 10 runs in 4 overs, while Fanita Maya took 2 wickets. Earlier, Thailand won the toss and decided to bat first, scoring 106 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Chanida Suthirang scored 27 not out and Thipathcha Puthavong also scored 25 not out. Nanpat Koncharonkai scored 19 runs.
Chanida and Thipathcha played well together, finishing with an unbeaten partnership. For Nepal, Manisha Upadhyaya took 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs. Pooja Mahato and Rachana Chaudhary took 1 wicket each, with Rachana getting her first-ever T20 wicket for Nepal. With today's victory, Thailand looks like an unbeatable team in the upcoming matches.
