Nepal Set to Battle Netherlands in League 2 Finale

Nepal will play against the Netherlands today in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2. The match will be held at the Forthill Cricket Ground in Dundee, Scotland, starting at 3:45 PM Nepali time.

This is Nepal’s final match of their fourth round in League 2. Nepal has already won two matches in this series but lost their third match against Scotland by just 2 runs last Sunday.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Scotland by 1 wicket in their first match of the series. In the second match, Nepal beat the Netherlands by 5 wickets.

So far, Nepal and the Netherlands have played 6 One Day International (ODI) matches against each other, with both teams winning 3 matches each.

League 2 includes eight teams: Nepal, USA, Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, Canada, Namibia, and UAE. This tournament is also a part of the qualification for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027.

By the end of the League (which will run until 2027), the top four teams will directly qualify for the Global Qualifier of the World Cup. The bottom four teams will have to play in the World Cup Qualifier Play-off.

Currently, Nepal is in 7th position with 10 points from 15 matches. The Netherlands is in 2nd position with 26 points from 22 matches.
