Nepal lost to Scotland by just 2 runs in the ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 match. Chasing a target of 324 runs set by the home team, Nepal was all out for 321 runs in the final over.
For Nepal, Bhim Sharki scored 73 runs, Sompal Kami made 67, and Dipendra Singh Airee scored 56. Scotland’s Mackenzie Jones took 3 wickets, while Safyaan Sharif and Michael Leask took 2 wickets each. Brandon McMullen and Charlie Cassell claimed 1 wicket each.
Earlier, Scotland won the toss and batted first, scoring 323 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs at the Forthill Cricket Ground. For Scotland, captain Richie Berrington scored 102 runs, Michael Leask made 96, and Charlie Tear scored 68. Nepal’s Karan KC and Dipendra Singh Airee took 2 wickets each, and Lalit Rajbanshi took 1.

The League-2 triangular series includes Scotland, Nepal, and the Netherlands. Nepal had won its first match against Scotland by 1 wicket and beat the Netherlands by 5 wickets in the second game. Nepal will play its final match of the series against the Netherlands tomorrow.
The top four teams from League-2 will directly qualify for the Global Qualifier for the World Cup. The bottom four teams will have to play in the Qualifier Playoffs.
