Nepal is set to play the opening match of its historic T20 series against reigning world champions West Indies today at the UAE Cricket Ground.
The Nepali squad, which arrived in the UAE on Monday, is led by captain Rohit Kumar Poudel with Dipendra Singh Airee serving as vice-captain. The lineup features key players including Kushal Bhurtel, Lokesh Bam, Kushal Malla, Asif Sheikh, Adil Alam, Karan KC, Nandan Yadav, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sandeep Jora, Arif Sheikh, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Gulshan Jha, Sompal Kami, and Sahab Alam.
Sandeep Jora and Sahab Alam have drawn attention as notable inclusions for the series.
Ahead of the clash, skipper Poudel expressed confidence, declaring in a video message: “We are here to win the series.”
