Nepal are set to face Oman tonight in a high-stakes encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia Pacific Qualifier Super Six stage. The match, scheduled to begin at 8:45 PM, will be crucial in deciding Nepal’s path to the 2026 T20 World Cup.
So far, Nepal have displayed impressive form, clinching narrow victories over UAE by one run and Qatar by five runs, to strengthen their position in the tournament.
Both Nepal and Oman currently sit level on six points each, but Oman hold the top spot on the table due to a better net run rate, with Nepal following closely in second. UAE and Japan occupy third and fourth positions respectively with two points each, while Qatar and Samoa remain winless.
Out of the six Super Six teams, Nepal, Oman, UAE, Japan, Qatar, and Samoa, the top three will qualify for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka.
If Nepal defeat Oman tonight, they will not only top the group but also secure an early qualification for the World Cup ahead of their final match against Samoa on Friday.
