Nepal Beats West Indies to Win Historic T20 Series

Nepal’s cricket team made history on Monday by winning a T20 series against the West Indies in the UAE. Nepal won the second match by a huge margin of 90 runs, sealing the series with one game still to play.

Batting first, Nepal scored 173 runs for 6 wickets. Aasif Sheikh remained unbeaten on 68 runs, while young batter Sandeep Jora hit a quick 63 runs. Their partnership of 100 runs helped Nepal recover from a weak start.

Chasing the target, the West Indies were bowled out for just 83 runs in 17 overs. Nepal’s young spinner Aadil Alam was the country’s hero with the ball, taking 4 wickets, while Kushal Bhurtel grabbed 3.

This is Nepal’s first-ever series win against a Test-playing nation, a big step for Nepali cricket.
