Nepal Beats Netherlands in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2

Nepal won their last match of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series in Scotland by 16 runs against the Netherlands.

Nepal had set a target of 237 runs. The Netherlands could only score 220 runs in 49.2 overs, losing all their wickets.

Wesley Barresi scored the most for the Netherlands with 36 runs. Captain Scott Edwards made 30, Michael Levitt 27, Kyle Klein 25, and Noah Croes 22 runs.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane and Nandan Yadav both took 3 wickets each. Lalit Rajbanshi got 2 wickets, while Karan KC and Kushal Bhurtel took 1 each. Nandan Yadav, playing his first ODI match for Nepal, bowled very well and took the wickets of Max O’Dowd, Roelof van der Merwe, and Kyle Klein.

Earlier, Nepal batted first after losing the toss and made 236 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs. Aarif Sheikh was the top scorer with 84 runs. Bhim Sharki and captain Rohit Paudel added 35 runs each. Kushal Bhurtel scored 18 and Dipendra Singh Airee made 16.

For the Netherlands, Paul van Meekeren took 4 wickets. Michael Levitt got 3 wickets, and Aryan Dutt took 1.

Nepal had also won their last game against the Netherlands. They won 3 out of 4 matches in this series.

With this win, Nepal now has 12 points from 16 matches in League 2. They are in seventh place. The Netherlands has 26 points from 23 matches and is still ahead in the table.
