Nepali U-20 women’s football team will play against strong team Bangladesh today in the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship.
The final match of the tournament will take place this evening at 6:45 PM at Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.
So far, Bangladesh is at the top of the points table with 15 points, having won all 5 matches. Nepal is in second place with 12 points from 4 wins and 1 loss.
Nepal had big wins against Bhutan and Sri Lanka in two matches each, but they lost to Bangladesh earlier in the tournament.
Even though this is the last match of the round-robin league, it is like an unofficial final for Nepal. To equal points with Bangladesh, Nepal must win today’s match. If both teams have the same points, the champion will be decided by goal difference.
Nepal has scored 30 goals and conceded 4, while Bangladesh has scored 24 goals and also conceded 4. In their previous head-to-head match, Bangladesh defeated Nepal 3-2 and leads by one goal in goal difference as well.
With pressure to win, the Nepali women’s footballers are ready to give their best in today’s match.
