The Nepal Army has appealed to the public not to believe or spread irrelevant, exaggerated, and misleading information being circulated in a planned manner.

The appeal was issued in response to questions raised regarding security arrangements and ballot box management for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.

In its statement, the Nepal Army said that it has consistently upheld its non-political character and fulfilled its constitutional and other responsibilities efficiently. It stated that, in line with the integrated security plan, it has been coordinating and cooperating with all concerned agencies to ensure the upcoming election is conducted in a secure, free, fair, and fear-free environment.

During this process, the Army noted that certain irrelevant, exaggerated, and misleading information linking the Nepal Army has been deliberately circulated. It has therefore urged the general public not to believe or disseminate such misinformation.
