Nepal has announced its team for the upcoming T20 International tri-series against Scotland and the Netherlands, which will begin this Sunday in Scotland.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) shared the squad on Friday evening. Compared to the team that played in the recent ODI tri-series under the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, there are a few changes. Sompal Kami and Gulshan Jha have been left out due to injuries. Replacing them are three players: Lokesh Bam, Kiran Thagunna, and Rupesh Singh.
Kiran Thagunna has been called up to the national team for the first time. Rupesh Singh, who was in the squad during the Hong Kong T20I series, has not played yet but could get his debut soon. Lokesh Bam, meanwhile, continues to be a regular in the T20 format.
Nepal will play its first match of the series against the Netherlands on June 16. The team will then face Scotland on June 17, the Netherlands again on June 19, and Scotland once more on June 20.
In the recent ODI tri-series, Nepal performed well, winning 3 out of 4 matches.
