Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday), and most major currencies have seen their worth go up.
The US dollar, euro, British pound, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have all become stronger, while a few currencies, like the Australian dollar, have slightly decreased in value, according to the central bank.
In recent days, the exchange rates of many foreign currencies had been going down, but today's rates show a small increase for those that were losing value. The buying rate for 1 US dollar is now Rs 136.96, and the selling rate is Rs 137.56. This is higher than yesterday's rates of Rs 136.84 and Rs 137.44.
The euro is being traded at Rs 147.70 for buying and Rs 148.35 for selling, which is also a slight rise from Rs 147.68 and Rs 148.33 yesterday.
The British pound has also become stronger, with the buying rate at Rs 177.18 and the selling rate at Rs 177.95, compared to yesterday’s rates of Rs 176.59 and Rs 177.37.
Meanwhile, the Australian dollar has slightly dropped, with the buying rate now at Rs 86.46 and the selling rate at Rs 86.83, down from Rs 86.56 and Rs 86.94 yesterday.
The Kuwaiti dinar has gained value, with the buying rate at Rs 444.06 and the selling rate at Rs 446.00, compared to Rs 443.74 and Rs 445.68 yesterday.
The Bahraini dinar has also strengthened, with the buying rate at Rs 363.27 and the selling rate at Rs 364.86, up from Rs 362.95 and Rs 364.54 yesterday.
