Italy’s legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is coming to Nepal for the final match of the KP Oli Cup football tournament.
The tournament is organized by the Nepal Youth Association, and its chairman, Kshitiz Thebe, confirmed Buffon’s visit. Earlier, they had invited Brazilian football stars Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos, but due to scheduling issues, they couldn’t come. So now, Buffon has been invited instead.
Buffon was part of Italy’s 2006 FIFA World Cup-winning team. He has played 176 international matches, the most by any goalkeeper, and captained Italy in 80 games.
The third edition of the KP Oli Cup will start this Sunday, with nine teams, including two foreign teams. The final match will be held on Falgun 19.
