Kathmandu Valley is getting colder, with mornings feeling much chillier as winter deepens.


According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the temperature in Kathmandu dropped to 3.4°C at 5:45 am today. This is an early reading, and the official minimum temperature will be recorded at 8:45 am, which may be even lower.


On Monday, the minimum temperature was 3.5°C, while it was 4°C on Sunday, showing a steady fall over the past few days. Daytime temperatures are also going down slightly. The maximum temperature on Monday was 15.3°C, compared to 15.7°C the day before.


The Weather Forecasting Division records temperatures every day across the country. The minimum temperature is officially taken at 8:45 am, and the maximum temperature at 5:45 pm.
