Kathmandu Police Chief Rajunath Pandey Resigns

Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Force Chief Rajunath Pandey has resigned from his position. His resignation will take effect from January 18, and he will continue working in office until January 17.

Pandey confirmed that he has already submitted his resignation letter. He said he plans to step down officially from January 18.

According to sources, Pandey is preparing to enter active politics and is likely to contest the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

His resignation comes at a time when several security officials are showing interest in joining politics ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
