Kathmandu Gurkhas won a thrilling match against Karnali Yaks by 3 wickets at Kirtipur Stadium today. The match was an exciting contest, with both teams playing well, but the Gurkhas managed to chase down the target with just 3 wickets to spare.

Karnali Yaks batted first and set a challenging total of 149 for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan was the standout performer for Karnali Yaks, scoring an impressive 72 runs off 51 balls. His knock included 4 boundaries and 5 sixes, helping his team to a competitive score. Chadwick Walton also contributed to the total with 21 runs off 15 balls, adding some valuable runs in the middle overs.

In reply, Kathmandu Gurkhas started their chase strongly but lost wickets at regular intervals. However, they managed to keep up with the required run rate and reached the target of 153 in 19.3 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process.

Sumit Maharjan was the top scorer for the Gurkhas, remaining not out on 40 runs off 37 balls. His steady innings was crucial in guiding the team closer to the target. Karan KC played a quick-fire knock, smashing 28 runs off just 10 balls, which gave the Gurkhas the momentum they needed in the final stages of the chase.
