Kaski Court Refuses Immediate Withdrawal of Cases Against Rabi Lamichhane

The Kaski District Court has ruled that the organized crime and money laundering cases against Rabi Lamichhane cannot be withdrawn immediately.

A bench led by Judge Nitish Rai stated that since a writ petition challenging the Attorney General’s decision has been filed at the Supreme Court, the case cannot be returned at this stage. The court said further action will depend on the Supreme Court’s order.

Earlier, the Rupandehi District Court had also refused to immediately withdraw similar charges. Cases related to cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering are currently pending against Lamichhane in Rupandehi, Kaski, Kathmandu, and Chitwan district courts.
