Karnali Yaks claimed their first victory in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) with a 6-wicket win over Chitwan Rhinos at the TU ground in Kirtipur. Chasing a target of 131 runs, Karnali reached the target in 19.4 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process.

In the bowling department, Kushal Mall, Jan Luffy Eaton, and Ravi Bopara each took one wicket to help restrict Chitwan.
This win marked a significant turnaround for Karnali, who had lost their previous two matches to Janakpur Bulls and Kathmandu Gurkhas. With this first victory, they broke their two-match losing streak and earned 2 valuable points. For Chitwan, this was their first loss after securing two consecutive wins
Meanwhile, at the same venue, Lumbini Lions and Pokhara Avengers are currently battling it out in a crucial match, with both teams looking for their first victory in the tournament.
Lumbini, after a forgettable bowling performance in their first match against Biratnagar Kings, where they failed to defend a target of 192 runs, are eager to bounce back. Pokhara, on the other hand, have suffered defeats in both their opening games, with their captain and openers struggling to make an impact. Both teams are now aiming to secure their first win and get back on track in the competition.
