Inter Miami was knocked out of the tournament after losing badly to PSG.

Lionel Messi’s current club, Inter Miami, has been knocked out of the Club World Cup after suffering a heavy 4–0 defeat against his former team, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), in the pre-quarterfinal match held in Atlanta.

The match was one-sided from the start, with PSG dominating the first half and scoring all four goals before the break. Joao Neves gave PSG an early lead in the 6th minute with a well-placed header. 

Around the 36th minute, he scored again, finishing off a brilliant team play. Things went further downhill for Inter Miami when defender Tomas Aviles accidentally scored an own goal in the 44th minute, making it 3–0. Just moments later, Achraf Hakimi added a fourth goal, completely shutting the door on Inter Miami’s chances of a comeback.

With this loss, Inter Miami exits the tournament early, while PSG moves on to the quarterfinals where they will face the winner between Flamengo and Bayern Munich.
