House of Representatives Meeting Scheduled for 3 PM Today

The meeting of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament has been scheduled for 3:00 PM today.

Opposition parties have been continuously obstructing the meetings because of the recent visit visa issue. Since May 27, the House has not been able to start its regular work and has been postponed again and again. Even though discussions have been held among the parties to solve the issue, no agreement has been reached yet.

In today’s meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel will present a proposal for a general discussion on the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2082/83.

Also, the Chairperson of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Ramhari Khatiwada, will present the committee’s report on the federal civil service bill 2082.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire will inform the House about letters received from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding different responsibilities.

Due to the continuous obstruction by the main opposition and other opposition parties, the House has not been able to continue its regular business in recent days.
