Talks between ruling and opposition parties continued on Wednesday in an attempt to end the ongoing deadlock in the House of Representatives, which has remained stalled for nearly three weeks.

Chief Whip of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Hitraj Pande, informed that discussions are being held ahead of today’s House session. "Joint discussions are ongoing between Nepali Congress–Rastriya Swatantra Party, UML–Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and us," he said. "An agreement hasn't been reached yet, but we are working to find a point of consensus."

The opposition has been demanding a parliamentary probe into Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak’s alleged involvement in the recent visit visa scandal. The issue has prevented the Parliament from functioning for several weeks. Despite repeated meetings, the stalemate remains unresolved.
