House Meeting Delayed Again Over Visa Issue

The meeting of the House of Representatives, which was supposed to start at 3:30 pm today, has been postponed until 1 pm tomorrow.

The session couldn’t begin as planned because opposition parties blocked it. They are demanding that Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak resign over a controversy related to visit visas.

At first, Speaker Devraj Ghimire delayed the meeting by 30 minutes in hopes of resolving the issue. But since the opposition refused to back down and insisted that no meeting should happen until the minister resigns, the Speaker officially rescheduled the session for 3:30 pm.

When the deadlock continued and no agreement was reached even at that time, the meeting was again postponed — now set for 1 pm tomorrow.
